Söğütlüçeşme terminal Kadıköy

The Kadıköy project is a contemporary architectural work realized in Istanbul, Turkey by Akfen Construction and designed by Tabanlıoğlu Architects. Novawood FireFence products were specified for the building's facade cladding and ceiling applications, delivering high performance and durability while preserving the natural aesthetic of wood.

The project features Novathermowood Pine timber produced with Burnblock® fire-resistance technology, offering a safe, sustainable, and long-lasting material solution. Within the Alfa profile series, facade and ceiling profiles measuring 19×118 mm have been applied across a total area of 5,500 m², while framing elements measuring 19×42 mm are used throughout the project with a total linear run of 11,000 metres.

Currently under construction, the Kadıköy project stands as a compelling example of sustainable architectural thinking — one that unites the natural texture of wood with modern building technology to deliver aesthetics, durability, and fire safety in a single, cohesive solution.
