Başakşehir İbrahim Koçarslan Secondary School
Novawood's Nova-Pine cladding was employed in the facade design of Başakşehir İbrahim Koçarsarslan Secondary School, creating a powerful architectural statement that unites the warmth of natural wood with contemporary design. The Pien system's high-performance construction and precise detailing ensure continuity and coherence across the façade, while the rhythmic articulation of the timber surfaces lends the building a natural, balanced character.
Designed by Uygur Mimarlık, the project brings together a contemporary approach to educational architecture and the use of natural materials in Istanbul. The wood cladding systems selected for the facade composition do more than contribute aesthetically — they help the building develop an architectural language that is both contextually harmonious and sustainably minded. Photographed by Cemal Emden, the building gives clear visual expression to the strength of this approach.
The durability of the Nova-Pine Cladding meets the building's technical requirements by delivering long-term performance across varying climatic conditions. As a result, the project achieves the identity of an educational facility that is both welcoming and architecturally refined, with the natural aesthetic of wood becoming one of the defining elements of the overall composition.
