How Does Firefence work?

Our FireFence product utilizes Burnblock® technology, a highly effective and non-toxic fire retardant made from purely natural ingredients in a patented formula. Burnblock works by preventing oxygen from reaching the treated material, as oxygen is essential for fire to occur.

Burnblock is harmless and, in the rare event it contacts the human eye, is no more harmful than fruit juice, according to health assessments. It is a well-documented fire retardant suitable for both industrial use and post-treatment applications.

The treatment is invisible, leaving no greasing, staining, or trace, making it compatible with most post-treatments on materials such as wood, paper, and textiles. Upon absorption, Burnblock allows the treated material to char and release water when exposed to heat, absorbing some of the heat and slowing the spread of fire.

With Burnblock, materials are effectively protected from combustion and flame spread, offering reliable fire protection.
